You Pay, You Stay! You Don't,
You Won't!
Let me guess, the rent check didn't make it to you again? Well it's time to get going to get your tenant
out of your unit so you can advertise it and get it filled with a good, quality renter who will pay on time and not trash
the place in the process.
"What options do I have?", you may be asking yourself. Well, I can tell
you that if you are like most of my clients you are working fulltime and don't have the experience or time necessary to
get the papers filed properly, make sure the service of process goes smoothly and then to go to court and deal with the tenant
and the judge, who both think you are taking advantage of the tenant.
This is where our firm comes into play.
We know all the forms that are necessary to file, how and when to serve the papers and to top of it off, we will go to
court for you. Our motto is "You Pay You Stay! You Don't You Won't!" We strive to get
any and all back rents paid prior to the tenant being able to stay past the 7 day statutory maximum. If they don't
pay we will help you get the Writ of Recovery so you can get possession of your unit. Then you can clean it and
get it rented as soon as possible.
Our fees are the same, no matter what county in the 9 county metro area
your property is in. If you need help in any of the other 76 counties in Minnesota, we can provide a case
by case breakdown of the charges for your particular situation. For those evictions in the 9 county metro area
(Hennepin, Ramsey, Anoka, Washington, Dakota, Scott, Carver, Wright or Sherburne Counties) our fees are $400.00.
This covers the preparation of the documents, filing them in District Court, getting them properly served by the statutory
deadlines, filing the proper affidavit(s), going to the hearing, obtaining the judgment and the Writ of Recovery (if needed).
You are also responsible to the District Court Filing Fee, which depends on the county in which the property is located.
